German SD Council recommends a comprehensive G20 partnership with Africa to implement the 2030 Agenda

The transformative and global aspirations of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development require a reorientation of multilateral cooperation as a whole. In the context of Germany’s G20 Presidency, the German Council for Sustainable Development advocates the creation of a comprehensive G20 partnership with Africa, based on the values of the 2030 Agenda.

In a concise recommendation, the German Council for Sustainable Development touches upon matters such as implementing the 2030 Agenda in sustainable partnership with Africa, trade policy for inclusive globalisation, agriculture, food and nutrition, and rural areas and health.

Catalan SD Council publishes report on the challenges for meeting SDGs in Catalonia

The Advisory Council for Sustainable Development of Catalonia (CADS) issued a report on the challenges that Catalonia should address to successfully achieve the 2030 Agenda’s SDGs and targets. The report, whose title is ‘The 2030 Agenda: transforming Catalonia, improving the world’, was approved by the council on 27th September 2016, coinciding with the 1st anniversary of the 2030 Agenda.

The aim of this report is to offer the Catalan Government with some keys to localize the global SDG and targets in the country. This is why it will be used in the elaboration of the National Plan for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Catalonia, which will take place from March to June 2017.
