Johanna Kentala-Lehtonen has worked as the Secretary General of the Finnish Expert Panel for Sustainable Development at the Finnish Prime Minister’s Office since March 2023. Before her current position, she was responsible for the coordination of the Finnish government positions on the EU Green Deal as the senior specialist at the EU Affairs Department, Prime Minister’s Office from 2019 to 2023. Earliershe has worked at the Climate Unit of the Ministry of the Environment Finland for 3 years. Before her career as a public official,she worked as a researcher and also with science communication. Kentala-Lehtonen is a doctor of Social Sciences (international relations) and her thesis (2019) dealt with the political response strategies of the Finnish business actors to climate politics.
