Katriina Siivonen is a University Lecturer in Futures Research and an Adjunct Professor of Cultural Heritage at the University of Turku. Her background is in ethnology. She serves on the Expert Panel on Sustainable Development as an expert in futures research and cultural sustainability transformation. For more than 20 years, her work has focused on the role of culture in the transformation towards a more sustainable world. It is essential to understand the opportunities brought about by the inevitable change in culture and the power of that change in promoting sustainability.
