Folmer de Haan is the deputy director of the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure (Rli). Besides his management responsibilities as deputy director he is still involved in advisory projects as coordinating advisor in the field of sustainability, energy, industry and finance. Before joining the Rli, Folmer worked at the Dutch Council for Energy (AER), worked at several consultancy firms in the field of sustainability, energy and industry and the development of policy instruments for the different sustainability transitions. He started his career with a research position at the Delft University of Technology. Folmer has been an active member of the EEAC for years, amongst others as chair of the Climate Change and Energy Working Group. Folmer has a background in chemical engineering and graduated at the Technical University Enschede.
